“As many of you know, I work for an agency that helps adults who have developmental disabilities…”

That is how Dave Mueller’s Mission Day of Service announcements begin, with this simple explanation of what he does for his job. My personal impression is that the work he does “for his job” is very much in alignment with his mission: I co-create a world of harmony by bringing out the best in others.

And, as part of that mission, a call to action goes out to the local communities. “As many of you know, I work for an agency that helps adults who have developmental disabilities…” and then the request to meet and help paint a couple of rooms or fix up the exterior of a house that provides a place for people with disabilities.

And, the men come and the work gets done.

What a great way to get men out and working in the community!

It was a great day.
